he national Currency is the Tanzania Shilling. The most widely accepted currency is the USD. The USD and other major European currencies can be changed in many Forex bureaus in major towns of Tanzania. It is highly recommended that you change money in Forex bureaus and banks and refrain as much as possible from changing money in the streets. There is an increased access to ATM Machines in all major towns.
